Horsford Pre-School Management Committee (HPSMC)
The Pre-School is run by an elected Committee, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. The Committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice and for the employment and appraisal of members of staff. The Committee also organises fundraising events throughout the year.

Everyone is welcome to join the Committee and bring their skills/ideas/experiences, whatever they may be, to support the Pre-School. If you are interested in joining the Committee then please get in touch to discuss the possibilities in more detail.

Naomi

Hi, I’m Naomi and I have a BTEC National Diploma in Childhood Studies. I have been caring for children for 20 years including my own 3 children. I enjoy arts and crafts as well as being outdoors, especially with my dog!

Nikki

Hi, my name is Nikki. I am a mum to 3 children, 2 girls and 1 boy. I hold a Level 2 in childcare and would one day like to undertake a Level 3 qualification. I love working with children and watching them grow. I also enjoy meeting the parents and families of the children too.

Michelle

Hi, I’m Michelle, and I began working at Horsford Pre-School as the Manager since September 2018. My main role is to ensure that we are providing the highest quality of childcare, in a safe and nurturing environment, and making sure that every child is given an equal opportunity to early education. I have a great passion for working within the Early Years sector, and have a great wealth of knowledge and experience, having managed other early years settings previously. I am currently qualified with a Level 3 National Diploma, but am hoping to begin undertaking a BA Hons Degree to enhance and build on my current knowledge and skills within the early years.

Lisa

Hi, I’m Lisa, 49 years old and married with 3 older children. I have worked at Horsford Preschool since 2006, starting as a relief member of staff and working my way up to Deputy Manager, achieving a diploma in Level 3 and a Level 4 qualification in childcare and learning. I am passionate about children and enjoy watching them learn, grow and develop whilst supporting their learning through play. Another lovely part of the job is getting to form relationships with the parents and family members of the children attending.

Jemma

Hello, my name is Jemma. I am 24 years old and living in Norwich. I studied childcare at City College Norwich, gaining a Level 1 and a Level 2 qualification in 2012 and 2013. I was first employed at Horsford Pre-School as a relief assistant and worked my way up to gain a Level 3, where I then became the Senior Practitioner and Setting SENCO.

Cathy

Hi, I’m Cathy. I live here in Horsford and I love my job. I love getting stuck into activities with the children and welcoming in new families at Giggletots. I am currently studying for my Level 2 qualification.
